Well, whatever said and done, the fact remains - the possessions, the belongings of all the Jaffna tamils heve been robbed and plundered; the women folks including the young innocent girls have been raped, the men, women and children including older generation have been murdered, their houses, shops and whatever they possess have been destroyed. The GoSL with all the crimes they committed had made sure of cleaning the Tamils of whatever they had. Still, why are they harrassing the Tamils; what is that the Singhalese government and the people want - after all, the GoSL and its forces have vented their thirst and hunger for blood. The North and East according to the Singhalese are parched land and there is nothing to look for and worth living for. So the Jaffna tamils have nothing left for them. Still, why is the GoSL interested in engaging in atrocities and continuing with mass murders and destruction on the tamils. Why cant they just leave the land; the land belongs to the Tamils; let the tamils decide their fate, their destiny. TNA M.P's must be given adequate protection by the authorities in the first instance. What was the late Nadarajah Raviraj doing with only one bodyguard? when politicians to the likes of my fathers ex-comarade in arms the Rt Hon Douglas Devananda M.P have an armed entourage and the roads are blocked to avoid vehicles or pedestrians form coming any where near the entourage when he is travelling from place to place. What will be the future of our community, when the SL government are not implementing the appropriate steps to protect our leaders. TNA M.P's regardless of whether they are part of an LTTE alliance or not should be rendered with round the clock armed protection for their own safety and well-being given the increased escalation of these indiscriminate killings. Those involved in these assassinations must be brought before justice, and if there is a cover up whether it be within the government or not the perpetrators must be caught with the utmost urgency.
