Its editor was once a close friend of the National Leader of Tamil Eelam. Hindu Ram was very popular at that time. As what I heard , he was once supporting this freedom war as well. Then, after some time, he changed and his paper changed its attitudes towards Tamil Eelam freedom. Hindu started writing against the freedom war in Tamil Eelam.
