This time they are officially summersaulting! Or is it for public consumption so that they can meet and merge with the so called marxists who are yester-year terrorists? - Kingsly

Having been a UNPier all my life of 60 plus years I have never been humiliated by the actions of the party so much. As a Sri Lankan first and my nationality - Tamil as a second, I have always had a sneaky feeling that the Tamil community has sufferred more in the hands of the UNP rather than the racial minded SLFP or even JVP. Perhaps the presentation of the atrocities were so sugar-coated we even did not realize it. One thing that prevents me from changing side is the raw and vugar manner the SLFP is playing it to the communal minded gallery where they think the vote bank is securely placed. I am now coming to a conlusion that both parties are same in the way of thinking and organizing except for the fact they are named differently. Call toilet bucket by any other names, they stink just as bad! Perhaps - just perhaps, there is a possibility that Ranil has been talked into this abyss by the likes of some radicals (I do not want name them here)so he could score few applause from the so called radicals I do not know. It is obvious that he has lost his way a bit since the traitors took off. He should have been happy about it and should have made this point clear to the people who supported him. but the politicians, be it Mahinda or Ranil- they under-estimate the intelligence and virtue of the voter and more often than not they get away with it. But, can they get away with it for ever?

What are the alrternatives a voter has? None! Could one go for the JVP - the party just thrives on problems or create some if there is none? Never as a independent thinker! JHU? That is a laugh! Even blind and deaf Budhist or even a conservative Budhist monk would not think of it if they have some sense of social justice and responsibility. TNA? they are just a few puppets of the LTTE got caught in the melee! EPDP, CWC, SLMC and the fragments thereof - no way! Do we have to vote at all if the chance comes our way? What if we do not? They will still be there ruling the country one way or the other. The good, bad and the ugly! Remember that in a war it "does not matter who is right, but who is left!" - Kingsly

Tamil people are vindicated now for boycotting the last presidential election. Sinhala parties are there to annihilate the Tamils. Why bother to elect these people? - Yarldevi

Sri Lanka has been given permission at the 6th session of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) now on in Geneva to continue the crime on humanrights violation and killings as long as it's only Tamils within Srilanka, despite the true efforts of human rights groups and the media both in the island and overseas.

The European Union (EU), which was expected to table a resolution critical of the Srilankan government on Humanright violations, did not submit any. This is the fourth time EU has postpond this decission, EU is now activily approving the Humanrights violation and killings of Tamils in Srilanka - Tamoul
